High Interest in Overflow Monitoring

Thank you to everyone who visited us at our booth at Rörnät & Klimat in Linköping last week. We’re pleased with the great interest and many insightful conversations about the future challenges in water and wastewater management.

The discharge of untreated wastewater is a growing issue, driven by climate change, urbanization, and aging infrastructure. We are now seeing stricter regulations and increasing demands for reporting. Ahead of this year’s environmental reporting – where overflows must be specified – there are high demands for detailed information per overflow point, including:

• Number of overflow events
• Overflow volume
• Duration

At the same time, we are noticing a clear shift in the industry – the need and willingness to work more data-driven has increased significantly. Monitoring an overflow point is not just about complying with regulatory requirements but also provides valuable insights to help reduce unplanned discharges. This may include identifying capacity issues, inflow and infiltration, or maintenance needs.

We work daily to develop robust IoT solutions specifically for this type of monitoring.
