Precipitation Gauge
Precipitation gauges can be a valuable addition for improved decision-making and management of the water and sewage system
Through the installation of level, precipitation, flow, pressure, and/or temperature sensors on the pipelines, we can efficiently investigate inflow and inflitration of water. This approach comes with multiple benefits, such as optimise system performance and plan for capacity requirements.
Our solution involves extended investigations into inflow, accounting for factors such as construction projects and misconnections, rather than relying solely on time-based assessments during heavy rainfall. It is adaptable and season-independent, aiming to improve control over the wastewater network while reducing resource consumption at treatment plants. A thorough examination of inflow and infiltration contributes to more efficient and sustainable water and sewage system management.
From the lowest point on the network, near the treatment plant, the area is strategically divided into manageable zones based on the number of connections. Using radar sensors, the level in each zone is precisely measured. This measurement offers insights into the flow during low-consumption periods within the zone and is utilized for comparisons with equivalent zones, aiding in prioritization.
The sensors consistently gather data on the network's status.
The collected data is securely transmitted to the cloud, facilitating real-time monitoring and providing remote access to the information. NB-IoT/LTE-M eliminates the requirement for a fiber connection.
Increase the level of detail by incorporating additional sensors into your analysis, improving precision and depth.
Visualise level and precipitation data in the same graph to identify locations directly affected by rain.
Calculate the volume to indicate the amount of water that has passed.
Collect data per hour, day, or week to quantify precipitation.
Detect temperature variations in wastewater that may indicate water infiltration.
Monitor long-term trends regarding level, precipitation, and temperature variations.
Visualise by combining data from different locations in a graph for easy investigation of specific areas.
Integrate sensor data from flow meters located at pump stations, meter wells, or treatment plants for comprehensive analysis.
Analyse flow/volume for specific areas over time or to monitor the water balance.
Identify volume differences to promptly assess progress through reduced additional water input.
